Smart Volume Control does not collect or transmit personal information. The extension does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, telemetry, tracking pixels, or remote audio processing.

2. Local storage
The extension uses Chrome's local Storage API to remember settings on your device. Stored values may include:
- A website domain associated with a saved site profile
- Preferred volume level
- Selected audio mode
- Auto loudness and Safe Boost preferences
- Global default settings
This information remains in your Chrome browser profile. It is not uploaded to a developer-operated server and is not used to build a browsing profile.
3. Audio processing
Supported HTML5 audio and video elements are processed in the browser using browser audio capabilities. Audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to a remote service by Smart Volume Control.
4. Permissions

Used to interact with audio controls on the tab the user is actively using.
<all_urls> host access
Used so the extension can provide audio control on regular websites containing audio or video. This access is not used to collect page content or browsing history.
5. Data sharing and third parties
Smart Volume Control does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties. The extension does not communicate with advertising networks or analytics providers.
This website is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request information required to deliver the site. This website does not add analytics, tracking scripts, advertising cookies, or account systems.
6. Your control
You may change or remove site profiles inside the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes extension-managed local storage according to Chrome's behavior. You can also manage extension data through Chrome settings.
7. Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
8. Policy changes
If this policy changes, the revised version and update date will be published on this page. Material changes to data practices will also be reflected in the Chrome Web Store disclosure.
